The science

Understanding your markers.

What each marker measures, and how ScriptsXO reads your report without adding anything to it.

Each marker is one reading. Together, and over time, they tell you more.

Hormones

Estrogen, progesterone and the pituitary signals that drive them shift through perimenopause and menopause.

Estradiol
The main estrogen, central to the menstrual cycle and menopause.
FSH
A pituitary hormone that signals the ovaries; it often rises in menopause.
Progesterone
A hormone that rises after ovulation and falls through menopause.

Metabolic

Markers of how your body uses and stores fuel.

Glucose
Blood sugar, the main fuel your cells use.
Hemoglobin A1c
Average blood sugar over recent months.
Insulin
The hormone that moves sugar from the blood into cells.

Inflammation

General signals that the body is responding to stress or injury.

hs-CRP
A sensitive measure of low-grade inflammation.
Homocysteine
An amino acid linked to blood vessel and nerve function.
Fibrinogen
A clotting protein that also rises with inflammation.

Thyroid

The signal and the hormones that set your metabolic pace.

TSH
The pituitary signal that sets how much thyroid hormone you make.
T4
Thyroid hormone available to your tissues.
T3
The most active thyroid hormone.

How ScriptsXO reads your report.

Copied from your report

Every value, range and flag ScriptsXO shows is printed on your lab report. A number that is not on the report is never shown.

Grouped by what it measures

Markers are sorted into hormones, thyroid, metabolic, heart, inflammation, vitamins and more, so related results sit together.

Explained in plain language

Each marker carries one short note: what it measures, and where your value sits against the range your lab printed.

Choose how to test

ScriptsXO organizes and explains your lab results. It does not diagnose, treat or recommend treatment. Talk with your clinician about any result. Results vary.
